Chris Matthews pimp slaps conservative talker Kevin James
The one thing about about stupid people is they will show how dumb they are time and time again.
Last night on "Hardball," Chris Matthews was interviewing conservative talker Kevin James and liberal Mark Green regarding President George W. Bush's slamming of Sen. Barack Obama before the Knesset in Israel.
As usual, James began to run his mouth, repeating the Bush talking points, not even understanding the historical references.
It's painful, especially with all the yelling, but watch Matthews just destroy this fool. There are some conservative talkers who I really, really like and who know their stuff, but this fool? He's not one of them!

Roland,
I watched this last evening live and if this is the talking point that the Republicans are going to use on Sen. Obama in the fall, it is a weak arguement.
This fool didn't even know the definition of the word "Appeasement", did not know the historical context in which the Bush comments were made, did not know anything regarding the history of WWII, he did not know jack!
This what the Republican attack machine does. They take a word like "Appeasement" attach it to someone in a negatinve manner to a particular issue, and then say it over and over again until the average, politically uneducated voter agrees with their view. What the Obama campaign did and does is respond strongly immediately to any kind of nonsense like this with an explanation of the facts, (i.e the Hillary gas tax pander) not allowing their candidate to be "Swift Boated" as John Kerry did in 2004.
Chris Matthews ate this guy for lunch and you can best believe that this fellow will not be on his show anymore.

Roland,
I just found this report which shows a video interview of McCain supporting engagement with Hamas in 2005.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/15/exclusive-video-mccain-wa_n_102031.html
"RUBIN: "Do you think that American diplomats should be operating the way they have in the past, working with the Palestinian government if Hamas is now in charge?"
McCAIN: "They're the government; sooner or later we are going to have to deal with them, one way or another, and I understand why this administration and previous administrations had such antipathy towards Hamas because of their dedication to violence and the things that they not only espouse but practice, so . . . but it's a new reality in the Middle East. I think the lesson is people want security and a decent life and decent future, that they want democracy. Fatah was not giving them that."
This is massive considering McCain has singled out attacking Obama on this issue.

President Bush does not know the meaning of appeasement either. Go and listen to Bush one more time or read the transcript. This guy with Chris Matthews is even better than Bush if you carefully read how Bush constructed his statements with the word "appeasement"
I am telling you people that Bush is a complete idiot.
Politics aside, do you believe that a 5-year-old kid would EQUATE giving away his toy with talking to his enemy? How can a sane person EQUATE giving Hitler a part of a nation with talking to Hitler? How can this distortion occur inside the Jewish national assembly and the distortion receives a thunderous standing ovation? How can this be? How can somebody do this kind of equating an evil act with talking to an enemy in a foreign land? How can the president of America be involved in bringing America down to this low?
Bush was either drunk or completely out of his mind!!!!!!!!!!

The outburst in response the Matthews' "blank slate" comment that occurs at 7:37 is absolutely classic!! Thanks for this, Roland. I don't even like Chris Matthews, but this is hilarious.
Michael7 is right - this right-wing tactic of using a word exclusive of its definition, and then repeating it until it becomes a slur is one of the most embarassing aspects of American politics today. Remember what they did to the word "liberal"?
I doubt it happens much in other societies...our education system is just so poor, and yet people are so proud, that they'll blabber on as if they do know what they're talking about, because emotions ring louder than words.
Idiocracy...here we come...

I hope that Senators Obama and McCain have unmoderated debates. First of all, McCain will not be able to keep his cool. Secondly, it will keep the flag lapel pin and Rev. Wright distractions out of the debate and allow the candidates go toe to toe with knowledge and specific plans for foreign policy. The republicans automatically think that McCain is the better candidate on foreign policy because he's a POW. I'm sorry if this may seem offensive, but while I honor McCain's military service, being captured by the enemy doesn't equate to having the upper hand in foreign policy. For those that think Senator Obama is weak on foreign policy, he is going to have a field day with McCain. The republicans are going to need to frame the general election around flag lapel pins, how many white people will not vote for Obama and Rev. Wright, they're the only cards they got.

@NKC
That unmoderated debate is a nice dream, but I highly doubt that would happen. With McCain's weak points you mentioned (especially that temper, don't want that N bomb to drop, or he just may call him 'boy') there is no way that McCain's people would ever let that happen. But boy, I'd pay good money to see it.

Ouch, Ouch, OOOOuch!!!
I really dont care for Chris Matthews either, but one thing I must give him credit for, is, he doesnt care who you are or what party you represent, if you come on his show professing to know a certain topic and YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, CHRIS will smell blood and go for the jugular. I applaud him for taking that little trojan horse to task. (I bet he cried when he got in his car) LOL!!

Kevin James is an idiot who was exposed for what he is. A talking airhead. I like Chris Matthews. I may not agree with all of his points but he almost always has most points of view represented on his show. Bush is a bigger idiot than James. Why? Because his decisions have cost us Americans in blood and in prosperity. I can't wait for the changing of the guard and I do not mean McCain. If somehow the nomination is taken from Obama I would hold my nose and still vote democratic. McCain might be the best of the bunch but we cannot afford 4 more years of what we have just experienced.

Obama slamed by President Bush was the proverbial "pot calling the kettle black"...~~~~~~~~~~
How “Bush's Grandfather Helped Hitler's Rise to Power” ~~~~~~~~
Rumours of a link between the US first family and the Nazi war machine have circulated for decades. Now the Guardian can reveal how repercussions of events that culminated in action under the Trading with the Enemy Act are still being felt by today's president ~~~~~~~~

Close ~~~~~~~~~~
This article appeared in the Guardian on Saturday September 25 2004. ~~ It was last updated at 23:59 on September 24 2004. ~~~~~~~~~
George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany. ~~~~
The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism. ~~~~~~~~
His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy. ~~~~~~~~~
The evidence has also prompted one former US Nazi war crimes prosecutor to argue that the late senator's action should have been grounds for prosecution for giving aid and comfort to the enemy. ~~~~~~~~~~
The debate over Prescott Bush's behaviour has been bubbling under the surface for some time. There has been a steady internet chatter about the "Bush/Nazi" connection, much of it inaccurate and unfair. But the new documents, many of which were only declassified last year, show that even after America had entered the war and when there was already significant information about the Nazis' plans and policies, he worked for and profited from companies closely involved with the very German businesses that financed Hitler's rise to power. It has also been suggested that the money he made from these dealings helped to establish the Bush family fortune and set up its political dynasty ~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are a number of articles on the web regarding Grandfather Bush's' Hitler connection. I have no confirmation of evidence but the situation is thought. provoking. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kevin James is a true Christian – always lying, always looking for conflicts, always using Hitler to defend more wars and more atrocities against other people.
Hitler was a Christian and a Jew. Jewish people breath and eat wars and conflicts.
Posted by: Angelicana | May 17, 2008 at 02:57 PM
That was comical. To thinks these idiots are putting themseleves on the front lines making historical references to world history and cannot site any crdible sources besides Bush's out of context and inaccurate references. In the age of the internet, anyone can prepare their arguments in record time.
It all boils down to ignorance fueled by arrogrance.

I have to watch this beatdown by Chris Matthews on a better computer. Angelicana, this guy, Kevin James, does not represent all Christians. There are those of us, who will be voting for Obama in the fall.

Americans, especially republicans and uneducated whites, are in a bubble of ignorance. These people will do anything to sound tough and to try to win another election. Even McShame is ignorant and hateful and full of cow manure.

I'm glad that Chris called him on it. A lot of the shows just let people say things that are not factual. When I am watching shows that you appear on, I know that you will speak up if you feel someone is saying something incorrect.

Kevin BOY, your big mouth only gets you so far on your own show with dimwit republicans, different ball game when your on a show where someone knows what there talking about, WHAT A BEAT DOWN LOL
