Cindy McCain pimps son for the presidency

ALBANY, N.Y. - At the outset of the campaign, both Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain said their children were off limits.

The McCains made that especially clear about their son who is serving in Iraq.

But with the polls showing Obama expanding his lead in battlegrounds, it didn't take the $100 million beer heiress to use the "my son in Iraq" card to take a swipe at Obama.

Cindy McCain blasted Obama for voting not to fund the troops, saying that soldiers like her son need the support of their nation.

And with Gov. Sarah Palin hovering in the background, McCain also invoked the son of the VP choice.

Coupled with the campaign allowing speakers at their rallies to rip Barack Hussein Obama by emphasizing his middle name, and the atrocious attempt to bring up 1960s radical Bill Ayers, McCain is showing how low down dirty and nasty he will go.

If anyone thought that McCain was going to run an honorable campaign, and that this would be easy, they are sorely mistaken.

Trust me, it's about to get nastier as we move closer to Nov. 4. So get ready for the Republican slime machine to be in full force.

Cindy Drug Addict/Thief McCain should shut her silver spoon mouth up! She is one morally corrupt person stealing a husband away from a mother and her 3 children just for sh!ts and giggles. She is disgusting and would be a disgrace to the honored position of First Lady. The entire McCain campaign is SCUM and they will not be forgiven for their actions and words and it will not be forgotten. They will go down in history as the slimiest people to ever run for office and won't look any better than the David Dukes and KKK members who were burning crosses on MLK's lawn.

It is really sad that Cindy McCain will say Obama did not vote to fund the troops in Iraq ahen her own husband did not vote for the particular bill either. Obama stated that he did not vote for the bill because it did not have a timeline! This just goes to show how desperate the McCain camp has become to try to win the election. They have rowdy crowds yelling "kill him" (referring to Obama) at their rallies and do nothing to deter that activity!

What is even worse is that some people don't see that we don't need these types of people to lead our country. And what is even more hypocritical is that Cindy McCain had the nerve to say that Barack Obama has led the "dirtiest campaign in history" - unbelievable!

I am agree with you iawill. Like you said Roland on the TJMS this morning, she must have been in a daze during the Republican primaries when her husband was going against Bush and they dogged their adopted daughter because of her skin color. Maybe she was in agreeance with that. The McCain camp is getting worried and resorting to what they do best, using fear, hopefully voters will see through that on 11/04/08.

She should have discussed this with her husband before she opened her mouth. Mcshame didn't vote for it either.

Roland, you know that is normal in any election. The claws come out on both side the closer you get to the election and while one is up and one is down. There you go again making Obama a victim. Is he thinking like this? McCain wants to win no different than Obama. Next!!!!

Roland I want them to talk about the REAL American GANGSTERS, the men of AIG and Lehman Brothers.

Desperate pols will do anything to win. If this doesn't show the nation just how bad the Repubs want to win, then nothing will.

There must be some internal poll numbers that are showing McCain doing worse then is known or why else revert to the types of attacks their campaign has leveled against Sen. Obama?

What I would like to see before the first questions is asked from the moderator at the next debate is Sen. Obama confront Sen. McCain mano y mano and ask him directly to his face, "Do you think I'm a terrorist or a traitor or a liar?" If Sen. McCain says no, then Sen. Obama should then ask him why he allows his campaign and his VP to spread the venom they do, then tell Sen. McCain that the only reason I have not done the same thing to you as that solving the issues of the country are more important to me than telling the world all we have on you and Gov. Palin.

If Sen. Obama does that, the race is over.

Hi Roland,

U were so on point on the TJMS..I was just smiling and saying yes, yes and yes. She is trippin off of something. She is a space cadet.

As a mother of two of our brave men in uniform Cindy McCain has every right to blast Obama for refusing to support funding for our troops. It is a matter of record that other prominent Dems like Biden(who knows what it's like to have children serving in our military) have slammed him for this. Biden also has a very conevenient memory, something Palin refused to let slide at the debate. Informed and Enlightened, if you were not citing Obama talking points you would know that they both voted against two very different bills. The bill McCain opposed included a timeline and had already been PROMISED a veto by President Bush. I suppose Obama'a opposition to our boys fighting in the middle east is understandable, after all they are only "air raiding villages and killing civilians". NEWSFLASH FOR ROLAND, AYERS IS NOT JUST A 1960'S RADICAL! His comments in the Chicago magazine as well his picture stomping the American flag were taken in 2001. He is very much the Anti-American, hateful activist he has always been, this time his attacks did not come in the way of bombs. They are being leveled at the education system. Wake up.

WOW Will,

Why so angry?!? WHat are you so afraid of?

The beauty of a commentary is that it is one's opinion presented to the public. With this said Roland, please be mindful of the "pimping" reference regarding Cindy McCain's son. I understand that it was used with humor but Obama supporters would be livid if this were used regarding his daughters. Let's not steal pages from the Republican book on slander.

McCain and Palin have shown us how they will respond during times of crisis, both in their battle for the White House and during this economic meltdown: Panic, rally the country with fear tactics, go back on campaign promises as aforementioned and most importantly offer no real solutions to solving the problems at hand. Desperation is fatal to the candidates and the country.

Her point is invalid because her husband also voted against a funding bill because didn't support a timeline for withdrawal. She knows this but she continues to go on the stump and smear Obama. It's fine that she supports her husband, but does anyone believe that if it was Michelle out there denigrating McCain, that the media and the idiots at Fox would let it go? The Obama camp has been very gracious about Mrs. McCain and God knows that there is much to go after, but they have refrained. Yet, today (Friday) the McCain campaign in a conference call has called out Michelle. And Will, you should really do some research instead of repeating GOP talking points, so much of what you said is untrue, it's not worth correcting you.

Hope - a grand blanket statement with little to back it up. Now do your "research" and disprove my statements. P.S. The Huffington post and the Daily Kos do not count.

Pimps? Pimps? Come on Roland, we're bigger than that. We have to be very careful with our terminology as we navigate through this critical time in our history.

Oh Will, Sen. Obama is not wrong, for voting against the bill that did not include a timeline, he obviously was in support of funding the troops because he voted for it when it did include a timeline for exit, but let's be real, he does not want them over there for 100 yrs. Obama stood up for what was right and there are plenty of parents with children in the military that agreed with Obama's vote. And if Ayers is a terrorist, with everything going on now, why isn't the Feds at his door step questioning him or detaining him? Maybe they need to to plant someone in his classes and see if he is using the education sys to spread his "terrorist ways." Obama's winning and that is the best thing that can help this country right now, McCain's camp and his flunky Palin are stirring up violence and division in the country!
